Ocala Septic Pumping Pros › Service areas › Citra
Ocala Septic Pumping Pros is the Citra starting point for septic tank service. Citra is an unincorporated community in northeast Marion County along US 301 and CR 316, north of Ocala and near Orange Lake. Its roots are in citrus groves, and today the area is a mix of old farmhouses, mobile homes and horse properties.
Older homes, older tanks
Some Citra homes have tanks installed long before modern permit files were kept well. If the tank is old, ask the company to note its material and condition after pumping. Steel or very old concrete tanks can deteriorate, and the technician should tell you if a replacement is worth discussing.
Older properties often have no record of the tank location at all. Budget time for locating on the first visit.
Mobile and manufactured homes
Manufactured homes on rural lots in this area usually have their own septic tank. Skirting and decks can hide the sewer line, so point out where the pipe exits. If two homes share a parcel, find out whether they share a tank.
Frequently asked questions
Who keeps old septic permits for Citra properties?
Older files may be with the county health department and newer ones with the Florida DEP. Ask either office how to request records for your parcel.
